Questo cd presenta un raro concerto registrato dal Dave Brubeck Quartet con Paul Desmond, Bob Bates e Joe Dodge, al Sunset Center di Carmel, California, il 26 giugno 1955. Si tratta della stessa location del famoso “Concert by the Sea” registrato da Errol Garner il 19 settembre dello stesso anno. Una versione inedita di “Two Part Contention” registrata dal vivo al Basin Street Club di New York nel 1956 (con Norman Bates al posto del fratello Bob), è stata aggiunta come un bonus.
